  1. Another Question: I installed PLG to replace LPLG to attempt to be able to merge individual clips into one movie while maintaining PIP. I have an INNOVV K2. All the install and write over prompts went as planned. I have a single movie of 60 minutes fine but no PIP. Only shows front cam in movie. Both front and rear are there when I bracket the beg and ending clips

  2. Question: Why not just ship DV with GPL instead of LGPL so we don’t have to do the replacement drill with each update? Windows User.

    1. Bill, the LGPL version of ffmpeg does not include the H.264 codec. That part of ffmpeg, which is used for some Dashcam Viewer functions, is licensed under GPL. I cannot distribute the GPL version, so I simply ask users to download it themselves if they need that capability. It’s used in Dashcam Viewer to extract PiP clips or merge PiP videos. See: https://www.ffmpeg.org/legal.html

      1. I’ve downloaded ffmpeg per FAQ’s and replaced the existing (in Windows 10) ffmpeg.exe file with the downloaded (from the bin) such file. I still don’t get PIP in the merged MOV movie – just front cam (INNOVV K2system). I used the link at footnote 10 on page 56 of the 3.1.7 User’s Manual. Please help me resolve this. Thanks.
