Dashcam Viewer v3.5.0 was released today for both Mac and Windows with the following new features, camera supports, and improvements:
New Features:
- Added Trip List. When videos are first loaded, Dashcam Viewer now bins them into “trips” and lists them in a new Control Center window tab. By default, a trip is defined as a contiguous set of 1 or more videos with no breaks of greater than 1 minute. Videos constituting a trip can be shown/hidden. Statistics are computed for each trip such as beginning date/time, the duration of the trip, the amount of gap time between trips, and the number of videos in a trip. Double-click a trip to start viewing its videos. Trip list items are color-coded based on trip length. PRO users can re-generate the trip list with a user-defined gap-time, rather than the 1-minute default.
New Trip List
New Camera Supports:
- Added support for BlueSkySea B1M 2CH with later version of firmware V20200327.
Bug Fixes:
- Improved handling of videos with incomplete GPS data records (date/time but no lat/lon).
Dashcam Viewer is PC/Mac software that allows you to playback your dashcam’s videos while simultaneously viewing your vehicle’s location on a map. There are many other features in the software which are detailed on our website (http://dashcamviewer.com). The free version is fully-functional and allows the loading of up to 2 videos at a time.
Sorted it, thank you 👍
Hi, I’ve just upgraded to the version 3.5.0 on mac but for some reason I can no longer follow journeys correctly through the map window as I could before, they are just frozen, I am using a Viofo A129 duo camera which has been upgraded to the latest firmware version 2.0, anyone else with the same problem? I haven’t tried the windows version as yet
The latest A129 Pro Duo firmware (v2.0 as of this writing) changed the video file-naming convention compared to previous versions. Please try Dashcam Viewer version 3.5.1 which supports both new and old conventions.
That’s seems to have sorted it, thank you👍
