Dashcam Viewer v3.7.0 Released

Dashcam Viewer v3.7.0 was released today for both Mac and Windows with the following new improvements:

New Features:

• Added ability to “Clean Up” all sub-windows. Selecting “Clean Up” from the Windows menu will gather the Dashboard, Graph, Map, and Control Center window around the Main Window. To control whether the Dashboard and Graph windows appear above or below the Main Window, simply move the Dashboard window anywhere above or below the Main Window before selecting “Clean Up”.
  
  Similarly, place the Dashboard window to the left or right of the Main Window to make the Dashboard clean up to the left or right. The Control Center and Map windows will clean up to the left or right of the Main Window depending on where the Control Center window was before the Clean Up command was issued. Similarly, the Control Center window will clean up to the top or bottom depending on where it was relative to the Main Window before the Clean Up command was issued.

• The “hard reset” procedure will now clear the GPS data cache in addition to resetting all the settings. (v3.6.9)

New Camera Supports (v3.6.9):

• Added support for iTracker MINI 0906 TS format.
• Added support for MINI 0906 TS format
• Added support for NextBase 522GW by working around extraneous data point issue.
• Reported compatible with GARMIN nuviCam LMTHD

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed bug in which Show Fullscreen mode would not work correctly.

• You can now select the directory where video screenshots are exported when the JPG/PNG toolbar button is clicked. Previously, all images were saved to the Desktop.
• Renamed the “Standard” version to be the “Plus” version

Bug Fixes:

• Improved compatibility with 70mai Dash Cam Pro videos in which the GPS unit did not achieve a fix at the beginning of the video, but did achieve a fix somewhere in the middle of the video.

Dashcam Viewer v3.6.3 Released for Mac and Windows

Dashcam Viewer v3.6.3 was released today for both Mac and Windows with the following new improvements:

New Features: 

• Implemented new GPS Data Cache system, which speeds loading of video files by a factor of 100 or more the next time the files are loaded. The Free and Standard versions cache up to 1,000 files and the version caches up to 10,000 files. Once the limit is reached, the oldest files in the cache will be deleted to make room for the newer ones being loaded. This feature applies to dashcams that embed their GPS data in the video file itself. By default this feature is enabled, but it can be disabled in the Advanced Preferences.

Bug Fixes:

• Improved the behavior of the Main Window so that it retains its size and position between program runs.
• Fixed minor bug in Trip gap time calculation if gap > 1 day.

• Added support for Viofo A129 Plus Duo

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed bug in which double-clicking a trip would reveal video Markers on the Google Map, even if this option was unchecked.
• The mouse can now be in the main viewer area to perform a zoom using the mouse wheel. Previously, the mouse had to be on top of the main video for mouse wheel zoom to take effect.
• Improved zoom behavior for users of Apple MagicMouse or trackpads. Zooming will be less erratic now.
• [Windows] Dashcam Viewer will no longer remind you to install K-Lite Codec Pack or LAVFilters if they are already installed.

Dashcam Viewer v3.6.0 Released for Mac and Windows

Dashcam Viewer v3.6.0 was released today for both Mac and Windows with the following new features, camera supports, and bug fixes:

New Features:

• New: Data Browser. Use the Data Browser to examine and export your dashcam’s GPS track data in a variety of formats. Data can be previewed, examined, copied to clipboard, and exported to files. Invoke the Data Browser using the DATA toolbar button or File menu. The available data formats are:
  • CSV: (comma-separated-value) which is compatible with Microsoft Excel
  • GPX: XML-based GPS data interchange format compatible with Garmin BaseCamp 
  • KML: compatible with Google Earth
  • GeoJSON: used in GIS applications

• The Free version can export the current video’s GPS data, the Standard version adds the option to export data for all enabled videos, the Pro version adds the option to export data for all videos in the current Trip and data all videos loaded. 
• Added GeoJSON data export option. Altitude will be exported if available. Also, Geotags will be exported as Point features.
• Users can now export GPX with version 1.0 headers (compatible with Garmin BaseCamp) or version 1.1 headers.

New Camera Supports:

• Added support for Aukey DR02D latest firmware file-naming convention.

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed crash hang that could occur if user tried to resize the Export Video Clip, Shortcuts, About, Register window.
• Fixed bug in KML exporter.
